Pastor Trey Harper
Pastor Trey Harper and Family
Born and raised in Indianola, Mississippi, Rev. Trey Harper graduated as an Honors Graduate in 1994 from the Indianola Academy. Additionally an Honors Program graduate from Mississippi University for Women in 1998, Trey next received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with a Minor in Music. Among his many accomplishments, Trey’s classmates elected him as Student Body President in 1997. Trey also holds the distinction of being the 2nd male at that time to hold the office.
Trey attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Divinity in 2001. Pastor Harper became ordained as an Elder in the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2004.
Since serving in the Mississippi Conference, Rev. Harper has served a total of 7 congregations, by way of 3 appointments, in his 13 years of ministry. He graduated in 2010 from the Pastoral Leadership School. In addition to pastoring churches, Pastor Harper holds the honor of being elected the Secretary of the Annual Conference in 2012.
In June 2014, Trey became appointed as the Senior Pastor for Forest United Methodist Church. Trey and his wife, Heather, have 4 children: John and Joshua age 11, Lucy age 9 and Benjamin age 4.
